This Christmas play is intended, not only for acting, but also for reading. It is so arranged that boys and girls can read it to themselves, just as they would read any other story.
He as a clergyman in Worcester, Massachusetts. He published a volume of reminiscences of the First World War, entitled On the Edge of the Storm, and devoted his retirement to writing The Liberated Bible, in which he retold Old Testament stories. He also wrote poetry and short plays for the Bohemians, a literary club of which he was a member.
